Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary is a community project which aims to restore a 40 hectare 'mainland island' in Picton harbour. Located between Shakespeare Bay and Picton Harbour and only ten minutes from Picton, the Sanctuary can be accessed by private boat, water taxi or kayak.

Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary offers amazing wildlife viewing, engaging school or group visits and volunteering opportunities.  Where else could you see rohi kiwi, kereru, piwakawaka and many other native birds, insects and lizards in a stunning bush setting so close to town?

Since being established in 2006, an amazing group of volunteers have been involved in providing countless hours of pest monitoring and trapping, weed and plant control, native bush regeneration projects, community education and maintenance. Although most work is completed by volunteers, funds are still required for supplies and other expenses.

Core Advice are proud supporters of Kaipupu Point through ongoing financial support and helping the pest monitoring program.

You can also be involved by becoming a volunteer – contact the team at Kaipupu or talk to us.
